IPTV TV Guide Not Working: EPG Troubleshooting

If your IPTV TV guide is not working, first check whether channels still play. Working video with missing programme information points toward a guide-specific issue, while a missing channel list suggests a broader account or connection problem. An electronic programme guide, or EPG, is schedule data, not the video stream itself.

1. Identify what is actually missing

Separate a completely blank guide from missing entries on a few channels, incorrect programme times, or information that has stopped updating. Each pattern gives support a more useful starting point than saying the guide is broken.

Use only channels you are authorized to access. Do not replace missing guide data with feeds of uncertain origin.

  • Check whether two or three affected channels play normally.
  • Note whether all channels lack listings or only a specific group.
  • Record whether entries are blank, outdated, or shifted by a consistent amount.

2. Check the device clock and time zone

An incorrect device clock or time zone can make schedule information appear out of step with local time. Verify both against your actual location before changing anything inside the player.

If your player provides a guide time-offset option, record its current value before adjusting it. Do not assume every app offers this control, or apply several corrections at once.

  • Confirm the date, local time, and time zone on the device.
  • After correcting the clock, reopen the player and compare the same programme entries.
  • Distinguish a consistent timing shift from isolated inaccurate listings.

3. Confirm the expected guide configuration

Ask support whether guide data is included for your account and the affected channels. A playable channel does not by itself establish that programme listings are supplied for it.

Confirm the login format supplied for your Strong8K account. Never assume that a guide URL can be derived from a login address, or that your account supports M3U or Xtream. Enter separate guide details only when support confirms they are required and provides the correct information.

  • Keep any supplied guide URL private if it contains account information.
  • If the player offers a guide refresh function, try it once after confirming the setup.

4. Gather evidence without resetting everything

Restart the app and check for updates from trusted sources. If video and guide loading both fail, investigate connectivity rather than treating the issue as guide-only.

Do not clear app data merely to refresh listings: that removes settings. Player activation and content subscription are separate, so reactivating a player is not evidence that missing guide data will return.

  • Send support the player name, device model, affected channel names, local time zone, and examples of incorrect entries.
  • Redact credentials, login URLs, and personal account details from screenshots.
